Do you talk about your FIRE plan with your friends and family? We started out about 9 years ago and about to FIRE but we rarely talk about it with anyone we know, because we’re both still working nothing has changed yet. But when we stop there will be some questions.

What are your thoughts with talking about finance and FIRE? It’s going to be a weird conversation with the family when we stop working

Its never easy. Although im not in your same position I have gone through something similar with my close friends. I generally wait until my friends bring up the subject. I’ll alluded to some of my investments/financial position and if they seam generally interested Ill let them know more.

Thanks. yeah, I try to approach the subject very carefully however most the people around me don’t seem to have any interest in personal finance or investing so have no clue about fire.

I have also struggled with bringing up FIRE to family and friends. A lot of people don’t like talking about finance for a variety of reasons. I hope you find a good way to approach the subject. It sounds like you have done great and put in a lot of hard work, congratulations on the upcoming FIRE.
